The government ordered measures over the asbestos pollution affecting Vas county. Sports clubs' burdens will not grow, and the President revoked the citizenship of three people.
In an emergency decree, the government stated that sports clubs do not have to pay an asset management fee in 2026 either for the state assets they manage. According to the justification, because of the economic effects of the Russia–Ukraine war, the burden on sports clubs must not increase. The exemption runs from 1 January to 31 December 2026, and fees already paid for this period must be refunded. The decree was still signed by Viktor Orbán.

The government amended the decree on the benefits of senior state officials. Accordingly, senior state officials covered by the decree and ministerial chiefs of staff can buy the mobile phone they used when their mandate ends. The amendment says nothing about how the purchase price is set; the decree enters into force on the day after publication.

The government ordered measures because of the asbestos contamination affecting Vas County. A national survey must establish where asbestos-containing stone was used, and proposals must be made on eliminating the risks, their schedule and cost. The origin of the stone must be examined, especially shipments from Austria, and distributors must be identified. Damage control is a priority national interest and is therefore exempt from the usual rules of state construction investments. A proposal on the costs of remediation must be prepared by 31 October 2026.

On the proposal of the president of the National Office for the Judiciary, President Tamás Sulyok dismissed three judges. Dóra Lakatosné Fitos resigned (from 16 June), Zsófia Mária Marosy leaves on reaching retirement age (from 7 November), and Zsuzsanna Kövesné Kósa retires at her own request (from 9 October).
