The interior minister's decree establishes two new sports awards to recognise coaches who excel in youth development. The György Gerevich Youth Coach Award can go to 12 coaches a year with a one-off reward of HUF 250,000, and the Ferenc "Fecsó" Kemény Youth Coach Lifetime Award to one coach a year with a reward of HUF 1 million. The awards are presented on Hungarian Coaches' Day, 25 September, and nominations can be made through the public body of sports clubs and the national federations. Nominations must be submitted by 30 June, exceptionally by 15 August in 2026; candidates are assessed by a four-member committee.
