Draft: the justice minister would comprehensively amend criminal law decrees to transpose the EU directive on recovering assets from crime. Seized evidence and criminal assets would be managed actively to preserve value instead of passive storage: the value of assets must be monitored continuously, and with the owner's consent they could even be sold. The role of the Central Evidence Register System would be strengthened, and the rules would be aligned with the procedural role of the new National Asset Recovery and Protection Office. Most of the decree would enter into force on the third day after publication; comments could be sent until 18 September 2026.
