The government worked out the rules for paying the school-start support in the form of vouchers. As a general rule, those eligible receive paper vouchers worth HUF 50,000 in total (in denominations of HUF 5,000, 2,000 and 1,000), issued by the Hungarian State Treasury and sent by post. The voucher can only be spent on school supplies listed in the annex of the decree, in shops selling such goods, for example stationery, book, clothing, shoe and sports shops. The voucher can be used until 15 March 2027. If postal delivery fails, a resend can be requested from the Treasury until 8 January 2027.

The government adjusted several decrees to the fact that from 1 September 2026 some tasks moved from the energy minister to the minister of science and technology. This concerns, for example, priority treatment of mobile network developments, the operation of the National Communications and IT Council and the Digital Government Agency, and the IT systems of government offices, for which the minister responsible for e-government is now responsible. The government decree on implementing the EU Artificial Intelligence Act in Hungary was also amended. The changes settle powers and mean no direct action for citizens. The decree enters into force on the day after publication.

The government decided on the tasks linked to re-establishing the Budapest Public Development Council. This body is the forum for consultation between the capital and the state on Budapest developments. On the government side, the transport and investment minister coordinates the council's operation, the preparation of meetings and the implementation of decisions. The earlier 2018 government resolution on the council lapses. The resolution enters into force on the day after publication.

The government confirmed that preventing the risk of an industrial accident and environmental damage at the Dunai Vasmű site is in the public interest. If the companies under liquidation cannot pay for the necessary measures and the cost cannot be passed on to anyone else, the state takes it on through a public service contract. For this purpose the government reallocated HUF 800.5 million from the central budget to the Ministry of Economy and Energy. The decision follows up a government resolution from July this year.

The Hungarian National Bank issues a HUF 5,000 copper-alloy commemorative coin called "Pumi" on 4 October 2026. The coin is part of a series presenting Hungarian herding and hunting dog breeds. The obverse shows a pumi, and the reverse a standing pumi and one herding a flock of racka sheep, in a grassy steppe setting. The coin weighs 16 grams, is 34 mm in diameter and was designed by Boglárka Imrei. According to the MNB, the main purpose of commemorative coins is not payment but presenting historical and cultural values.
