A new act withdraws Hungary's exit from the International Criminal Court, because those who commit the gravest international crimes must also be held to account before an international court.
Parliament revoked the 2025 authorisation under which Hungary would have withdrawn from the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court and the agreement on the court's privileges. According to the act's justification, holding perpetrators of the most serious international crimes accountable before an international court is necessary, so Hungary's participation must be maintained. The earlier Act XXX of 2025 ceases to apply. Parliament adopted the act on 27 May, and it enters into force on the day after publication.

Professional and contract members of the Ministry of Defence, its directly subordinate organisations and the Hungarian Defence Forces may apply. The application deadline is 30 June 2026. Applications need a detailed CV and the proposal of the applicant's commanding officer, and must be submitted in a sealed envelope (Kecskemét, Reptéri út 4). A committee assesses the applications within 15 working days after the deadline.
