Ministerial decrees

AÉM decreeAÉM decree 10/2026 (VIII. 4.): Amending FM decree 14/2017 (III. 23.) on producing and marketing fruit propagating material10/2026. (VIII. 4.) AÉM rendelet – A gyümölcs szaporítóanyagok előállításáról és forgalomba hozataláról szóló 14/2017. (III. 23.) FM rendelet módosításáról

The agriculture minister's decree amends the rules on importing fruit propagating material (for example grafts and seedlings). As the EU transitional period ended at the end of 2025, the National Food Chain Safety Office's own import licensing ends. Propagating material can only be imported from third countries and categories that the European Commission has recognised as equivalent. The importer must notify the office electronically of the shipment at least 20 days before import; the office checks the notification within 8 days, and the government office inspects the whole lot. The product label must also show a code referring to the official label of the country of origin.

Official introduction (original Hungarian): A Kormány a szociálisan rászoruló háztartások támogatása és a téli fűtési költségek mérséklése érdekében a tűzifa értékesítésére alkalmazandó általános forgalmi adó mértékét 27%-ról 5%-ra csökkenti. Az intézkedés célja, hogy közvetlen segítséget nyújtson azoknak, akik a fűtési szükségleteiket elsősorban tűzifa beszerzésével biztosítják, ezáltal javítva a megfizethető fűtéshez való hozzáférést.
