Under a new act, pending lawsuits about foreign-currency loan contracts are suspended while Parliament reviews the foreign-currency loan laws. A draft on tightening anti-money-laundering rules appeared.
The act on suspending foreign currency loan cases, adopted by Parliament on 8 June 2026, was promulgated. Courts suspend ex officio lawsuits concerning contracts under the foreign currency loan acts until a separate act settles the situation, but the consumer can request continuation of the lawsuit. In such enforcement procedures no enforcement action may be taken until then, so property auctions cannot continue either. According to the justification, the aim is to review the legal consequences of the foreign currency loan acts. The act enters into force on the day after publication.

The transport and investment minister updated the list of architecture diplomas issued in EU countries that are automatically recognised in Hungary. The amendment adopts a 2024 European Commission decision. The decree enters into force on the 8th day after publication.

Draft: an act making minor amendments to the anti-money laundering act so that Hungary is prepared for the international Moneyval country evaluation that started in 2025. The national risk assessment would also have to cover financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Service providers would have to assess risks before introducing a new product or technology. The act would also create rules for checking cash carried across the EU's internal borders; comments could be sent until 16 June 2026.
