To fulfil the recovery plan, including the partial replacement of the H5, H6 and H7 HÉV suburban railway lines and the InterCity fleet, the government is creating two new state companies. The national transport organiser performs the ordering tasks of public transport; HUF 55 million is provided for founding it and about HUF 445 million for its operation this year. The national rolling stock company modernises the railway fleet, with HUF 250 million in share capital and a capital increase. For this the government reallocated HUF 639.6 billion from the recovery loan. The government agrees with gradually introducing competition in rail passenger transport, but setting timetables and fares remains a state task.
