Draft: an act on the National Asset Recovery and Protection Office (NVVH), which would be set up to uncover past losses and abuses of public assets and to manage future risks. The Office would be independent, with its leaders elected by Parliament, its own budget and an annual public report. It could start public asset protection investigations even without suspicion of a crime, and for certain crimes could take over criminal proceedings and replace the prosecution service as public prosecutor. Three of its four vice-presidents would be prosecutors; comments could be sent until 30 June 2026.
Weight: 2/3 · partial · Draft put out for public consultation, containing only a review or a concept (comments until 30 June 2026).
Deadline: 30 June 2026 · Comments: [email protected]
