The government took measures on the assets of abolished non-higher-education public interest asset management foundations. Where the assets needed for the public tasks taken over have already been identified, the finance minister, through MNV Zrt., signs asset management contracts with the receiving budgetary bodies. Where assets must be divided or identification is not yet complete, this must be done as soon as the assets become known. The finance minister will report by 30 November 2026 on which bodies received which assets.

The government amended the July resolution on abolishing non-higher-education foundations. Ownership rights over company stakes passing to state ownership on the dissolution of the MOL – New Europe Foundation are exercised by the finance minister. Several deadlines are now linked to the state acquiring ownership rather than to registration of ownership by the court of registration. The resolution entered into force on the day after publication.

The finance minister's decree designates who exercises ownership rights until 31 December 2030 over company stakes passing to state ownership from abolished foundations. The list includes, among others, the state-owned shares of MOL and Richter Gedeon, ATEV Zrt., Concordia Közraktár, the National Stud Farm and Training Farm, the Talentum property development companies, MCC Press, the Petőfi Cultural Agency, the Thália Theatre and the automotive test track in Zala. The decree entered into force on 31 August 2026.

AÉM decreeAÉM decree 16/2026 (VIII. 27.): Amending ministerial decrees related to game management16/2026. (VIII. 27.) AÉM rendelet – Vadgazdálkodással összefüggő miniszteri rendeletek módosításáról

Based on official experience and feedback from hunting organisations, the agriculture minister's decree changes several hunting rules. Wild boar, badger, fox, golden jackal, muskrat, raccoon dog and raccoon may be hunted at night, for some species with an artificial light source to aid aiming. As a general rule at most 25 hunters may take part in a group hunt for big game, and up to 40 in large forested areas under strict safety conditions. A professional hunter's shooting fee must be paid at least once a year. The decree entered into force on the 3rd day after publication.

The health minister's decree postpones separate funding for taking and reporting imaging tests (for example X-ray and CT), because providers need more time to prepare. The separation is justified by growing demand and the spread of remote reporting (teleradiology). In one deadline, a "November" date replaces the "April" one. The decree entered into force on the day after publication.

The decree of the MEKH president changes how the justified costs of the state waste management concession company and its subcontractors, from which waste fees are calculated, must be set. From 2027 the plan-based transitional period is replaced by an itemised asset and cost review, in which the office also compares with other companies. If subcontractor costs differ by more than 10% from the comparable level, the office examines them individually. The decree enters into force on the 8th day after publication.

The Ministry of Education and Children's Affairs opened a call for the Mari Törőcsik Scholarship for the 2026/2027 academic year. Acting students aged up to 30 at the University of Theatre and Film Arts and MATE who are at least in their second semester can apply. The scholarship is HUF 100,000 net a month for 10 months (1 September 2026 – 30 June 2027). The application deadline is 28 September 2026.

Under the recommendation, at the farmer's request, principal repayments on agricultural working capital and investment loans could be suspended until 31 December 2027, while interest must still be paid. This should be handled in a fast-track, separate procedure, based on the banks' own conditions. The recommendation is not binding.
