The government decree introduces a school start allowance of HUF 100,000 per child. It is paid, among others, for children with special educational needs, children entitled to regular child protection benefit, children who are chronically ill or disabled (entitling to higher family allowance) and children receiving orphan's benefit, as well as for students in the Dobbantó programme and workshop schools. Half of the amount is paid in cash by 24 August, and families receive the other half as a school start voucher by 30 November. Separated parents raising the child alternately are each entitled to half. The Treasury decides on eligibility ex officio, and no application is needed.
Weight: 3/3 · substantive · Concrete decision to be implemented (linked to promise F04).
