The health minister extended the range of hospitals and clinics that may prescribe certain highly subsidised (EÜ100) medicines. One new list, for example, contains pulmonology and paediatric clinics in Budapest, Debrecen, Szeged, Pécs, Győr, Miskolc and other cities. The aim is to make subsidised medicines easier for patients to get. The amended lists must be applied from 1 October 2026.

(III. 25.) BM rendelet módosításáról

The interior minister's decree sets in detail how a training institution can prove that it has the physical conditions for training for the disaster management officer, firefighter and fire engine commander qualifications. The certificate must be requested from the National Directorate General for Disaster Management, and the application must present the conditions item by item. If they are met, the directorate issues the certificate in an official procedure. The decree enters into force on the eighth day after publication.

The health minister postponed the introduction of "extended prescribing" to 1 January 2027. Under it, in certain cases, mainly for the convenience of chronic patients, pharmacists or qualified advanced practice nurses could also prescribe medicines with social security subsidy. The reason for the postponement is that more preparation time is needed for patient safety. One section of the earlier decree will not enter into force at all. This decree enters into force on 21 September 2026.

Draft: the defence minister would issue a new decree on how the Military National Security Service may authorise, carry, use and store service firearms, chemical devices (for example pepper spray) and electric stun guns. Since 2025 the law has allowed professional members of the national security services to use chemical devices and stun guns, and detailed rules are needed for this. The service could take over devices already authorised in the armed forces without a separate procedure. The decree would enter into force on 2 October 2026; comments could be sent until 23 September 2026.
