Ministerial decrees

KBM decreeKBM decree 9/2026 (X. 5.): Amending ministerial decrees on the technical inspection of road vehicles9/2026. (X. 5.) KBM rendelet – A közúti járművek műszaki megvizsgálásával összefüggő miniszteri rendeletek módosításáról

The transport and investment minister simplified the rules for buses that may, with a permit, travel faster than usual. Only buses of certain categories designed exclusively for seated passengers that meet the technical conditions can get a permit, which the transport authority issues after an inspection. If the bus has EU type approval and its design speed reaches 100 km/h, the manufacturer's certificate is enough and no separate expert test is needed. The permit is valid for 15 years from first registration and can then be extended every two years, up to the end of the 20th year, if the bus passes an additional technical inspection and its maintenance is documented. Several minor legal-technical clarifications were also made in the vehicle inspection decrees.

Weight: 1/3 · Technical amendment; the substance of the rules does not change.
