Gov. decree substantiveGovernment decree 91/2026 (V. 22.): On measures related to transporting certain agricultural products from Ukraine91/2026. (V. 22.) Korm. rendelet – Az Ukrajnából származó egyes mezőgazdasági termékek fuvarozásával kapcsolatos intézkedésekről

The government prohibited the import of certain agricultural products from Ukraine into Hungary, except for transit. According to the decree's justification, these products gain an unfair competitive advantage without complying with EU rules and disrupt the internal market. The banned list includes, among others, beef, pork, mutton and poultry, eggs, honey, wheat, maize, flour, rapeseed, sunflower seed, cooking oil and wine. In transit the vehicle must be officially sealed and must leave the country within 15 days. Carriers breaking the rules can be fined up to 100 percent of the product's value excluding VAT; the decree enters into force on the day after publication.

Curia uniformity decisionCuria uniformity decision 3/2026: On the limits of reassessing the facts established in a final civil judgment3/2026. JEH határozat – A polgári perben hozott jogerős ítéletben megállapított tényállás felülmérlegelésének korlátai tárgyában

According to the Curia's uniformity decision, in review proceedings the Curia may only exceptionally reassess the evidence of a civil lawsuit. This is possible if the facts of the final judgment contradict the documents or the assessment of evidence is manifestly illogical and only a different conclusion can clearly be drawn from it. If several conclusions can be drawn from the evidence, the Curia starts from the facts established in the final judgment. The case arose from a lawsuit over the purchase price of fertiliser.
